I pray that I may
Live to fish
Until my dying day
And when it comes
To my last cast,
Then I most humbly pray,
When in the Lord's
Great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be
Judged
Big enough to keep.

Always so good, unselfish and kind
None of this earth your equal we'll find
Honourable and true in all your ways.
Loving and faithful to the end of your days.
Loved by your friends and all whom you knew.
One in a million that father was you
A loving father, tender and kind,
What beautiful memories you left behind.

God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be:
So He put His arms around him
And whispered, "Come with Me"
With tearful eyes we watched him
Suffer and fade away;
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
