Lifestyle Stories
Lifestyle stories will capture the uniqueness of life. The story is about the person you loved and explains where their life focus was. Many of us have hobbies that we do not only for enjoyment but also to help us rejuvenate so that we might serve a higher purpose such as family and friends. Sharing your memory in a short story is a fine tribute to a loved ones life. We present life stories in an appropriate setting by the casket; this often triggers fond memories that friends will share with you and your family. We will do the type setting and display. All you need to do is write a short life description and supply it to us prior to public visitation. If you would like assistance in wording, we would be pleased to help. Some examples are shown below. Our reason for suggesting to keep the Lifestyle story short is so friends will easily be able to read it without having to move it from the display area.
The following examples are framed, with a photo of the person and often clip are to depict their life style.
Grandmother
Everyone in town knew my grandmother for her elegance, and style. But what gave real meaning to the style was the love behind it. Especially her love for us, her grandchildren. When we climbed up on her lap for a hug, she was a lot more than an elegant lady in fancy lace gloves-she was our Grammy...Gardener
Aunt Emily's Garden wasn't quite the center of her life, but it certainly was the place where she found her center. Nurturing those flowers that she loved so much taught her a lot about raising the children she loved even more. When to water them, when to feed them, when to leave them alone. Whether they needed sun or shade...The Great Outdoors
I met Chuck on a fishing trip, and never knew him to be more at ease, more at home than when he was outdoors--in the woods, on a crystal clear lake with a fishing rod in his hand, and cheese sandwich in his vest pocket. His business was important, but it was really just a means to finance his real life--his out door life...Our Dad
Dad could do anything. He was a carpenter, mechanic, baker, cook and even a gardener. But best of all, he was a wonderful father. Family meant everything to him. He used to say stick together and love each other. Whatever you choose to do in life, whatever decisions you make, do it the best you can, and be happy. Without happiness nothing else matters.
